About the event

This course will teach you to make a market bag, those ones that seem to expand forever! Not actually string, we're going to use cotton yarn.

Cost: £30 including tea and coffee

This project is suitable for anyone who knows the basics of crochet, we will be using dc, tr and htr stitches.

You will have the choice of making a full size or a smaller bag.

You will need to bring a 3mm crochet hook, yarn needle and cotton yarn (dk or 4ply) but don’t worry if you don’t have any yarn, I will have mercerised cotton yarn available to buy in the workshop (Scheepjes Catona £1.80 for a 50g ball or Sirdar Cotton dk £4.70 for a 100g ball).

How much yarn will you need? The large bag uses around 200g of yarn.

On this course you will learn:

• How to work in rounds and in a spiral

• To use a US pattern

• How to work decrease stitches

We will break for ½ hour at 1pm for lunch, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or there are some lovely nearby cafes you could have lunch at (we’re looking into pre-booking arrangements)

Please see Rosemary in Quillies to book your place by paying upfront.

NB: Payments are non-refundable once the course has begun.
